The American-Scandinavian Foundation offers fellowships and grants to individuals to pursue research, study or creative arts projects in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one year.

The Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program is a distinguished transatlantic initiative that offers fifteen accomplished Americans the opportunity to complete a comprehensive professional development program in Germany. Fellows are from a number of fields, including public policy, urban and regional planning, business, law, and cultural and arts management (museum, theater, orchestra, and others). This program is intended for US citizens under the age of 40.

The William H. Johnson Foundation for the Arts awards the William H. Johnson Prize annual to an early-career African American artist. Early career is flexibly applied to include artists who have finished their academic work within the last twelve years, and age is not determinative.

The Harpo Foundation is funding the Emerging Artist Residency Fellowship at the Santa Fe Art Institute (SFAI) to provide an annual opportunity to emerging visual artists 25 years and older to explore ideas and start new projects.
